How long after a miscarriage should you wait to have sex and why?

I just had a normal miscarriage ( no DNC ) and was wondering how long I should wait again to have sex. My bleeding has stopped and I feel up to having sex. I just don't want to get an infection or anything... any information will help please.I would also want to know the risks if i choose to have sex now. and what are the chances of me getting pregnant again right away if i have sex now.

It's recommended to wait 2 weeks (this is usually how long it takes the miscarriage bleeding and all that to stop) to resume sexual activity after a miscarriage. If you are emotionally ready for it. I've heard it is possible to get pregnant within a month of having one, so you may want to use some sort of protection if you arent trying to get pregnant again.
